Since 7/7 I have felt that I can no longer trust the big news agencies. I felt particularly let down by the BBC and sky for reporting exactly what they were being told (power surge) in the face of overwhelming evidence. As an indigenous white middle class male I feel totally marginalised. I am not sexist racist or class-ist, but my views never seem to be heard. I don't know if anyone will read this, but there simply must be others like me out there? Are there?
See the introduction to my blog. I am white, middle class, public school educated, male. All the things that the current government and media seem to despise. I am politically a liberal, although I certainly wouldn't vote for the high taxation Liberal Democrats. I deeply believe in equality and all around me I see the reverse. Political correctness is killing our great country. We need to face up to and confront issues around us, particularly the lack of integration of groups of immigrants who have come to the UK to enjoy the freedoms on offer. It's time that those freedoms were respected - freedom of speech first and foremost.
